TWO months of S-L-A-C-K-I-N-G...
HEY!
It is a little more than two months since the end of my As and the start of my STUDY break! And...I am still jobless while most of my friends are either working or having spent their time CONSTRUCTIVELY! Well, I have been lazing about mostly at home but I did try to exercise the mental and physical capacities I have been endowed with. Mainly those exercises include blogging (in proper sentences), reading the newspaper (trying to understand the commentaries...there IS SERIOUSLY an URGENT need to CURB global warming) and COOKING!
YAYNESS! I have been cooking for my family and most of my "creations" turned out OKAY. Save for a few: a soggy mee goreng (my 1st attempt at frying noodles), a 'tough-to-bite' sambal ikan bilis and an oily vegetable soup. haha! Anyway, cooking is FUN! I have been trying to make soups and stir-fry/s but have not touched recipes that include cream, santan or is curry-based. Maybe, I shall try to cook fish curry. Oh, I managed to cook chicken feet! YAY! It turned out fine (though a little too pedas and wrinkly-looking). *WARNING: Chicken feet causing an explosive reaction when being fried in hot oil. My FIRST attempt to fry chicken feet resulted in an OILY kitchen.*
Anyway, staying at home is not too bad. I get to HONE my cooking skills and I get to ENHANCE my family ties. I need to leave now. I have to goreng 'Pakoras' for dinner. CHEERS!
